(1) In order to register the consumer group formed in accordance with section 41, an application must be submitted to the Divisional Forest Officer along with the constitution of the consumer group in the prescribed format.
(2) If the application under sub-section (1) is received, the Divisional Forest Officer shall, after conducting the necessary investigation, register such user group as prescribed and issue a certificate of registration in the prescribed format.
(3) Under the Forestry Act, 2018, the user group managing the community forest in accordance with the action plan shall also submit an application for registration as per sub-section (1) within one year from the date of commencement of this Act.
(4) For the purpose of sub-section (3), the Divisional Forest Officer may provide necessary assistance.
